Guest post with Seba, Southern Kitchen Witch
Author Seba recently asked me to write a guest post for her blog, Southern Kitchen Witch. Y’all check it out: Southern Pride & Texas Roots, Pagan-style.
Call for Submissions: PWP Imbolc anthology
This is taken directly from the Pagan Writers Press Facebook notes page:
Pagan Writers Press is actively seeking submissions for its third Sabbat-themed anthology, Pagan Writers Presents – Imbolc. We are looking for essays, poetry, short stories, recipes, craft ideas, and illustrations to welcome the return of the sun from the darkness of Winter.
Besides the exposure you will receive by participating, there is no monetary compensation or contributor’s copies available for participating in this anthology. All proceeds from sales of the publication will further the education, promotion, and networking goals of the Pagan Writers Community and its membership. Contributors are able to purchase copies of this anthology at a discounted rate (outlined in the contract).
To submit your work for this anthology, please send it via email to angie@paganwriters.com with the subject “Submission – Imbolc 2012.” All work submitted must be your own and you shall retain copyright. We allow reprints, simultaneous submissions, and multiple submissions. Completed works should be less than 3,000 words (excluding short stories) unless otherwise discussed with Angie.
Please direct any questions you may have to angie@paganwriters.com.
Deadline for Submissions – December 16, 2011
Pre-order available for anthology
The latest installment of the Sabbat collection from Pagan Writers Press is now available for pre-order. Pagan Writers Presents Yule is a culmination of the work of 34 writers who offer short fiction, essays, poetry and songs for the Winter Solstice holiday.
Another Samhain anthology review & author interview
For the Love of Reading has a fabulous review of the Samhain anthology. And I’m happy to report that the three short stories she singled out were my edits!
Thanks to Niina for such a wonderful review, and congratulations to Marlene for a very nice author’s interview.
Call for Submissions: Boondock Witch
This guidelines for this call for submissions can be found at Seba’s blog, Southern Kitchen Witch.
I am inviting works from specificallySouthern Kitchen Witches that explore our craft and our heritage to take part in a collection called Boondock Witch. The South has a definitively slow, syrupy voice in which to tell our stories, leave our legacies and create our magic. This collection will celebrate that tradition.
This collection will be edited by Camenae deWelles and Seba O’Kiley and will include recipes, memories and essays that echo our heritage as kitchen witches below the Mason Dixon line. We can only accept up to ten this round, but hope to eventually create a series. Boondock Witch will be published by Pagan Writers Press, a young but promising press out of Texas. …
